2012 – Where It All Began
We opened our very first location—Tap & Barrel in North Scottsdale—with a 7-barrel brewhouse and just 14 barrels of fermentation space. Small but mighty, it marked the start of something special.
The Word Spreads
Our neighborhood spot quickly became a favorite among local beer lovers, thanks to our bold brews and community vibe.
Growth On Tap
As the fanbase grew, so did our ambitions. Though the original Tap & Barrel has since closed, it laid the foundation for everything that followed.
2015 – A New Era in South Scottsdale
We opened a brand-new location at Scottsdale & McDowell, complete with a 15-barrel brewhouse and a whopping 270 barrels of fermentation space. Bigger space, bigger beers.
Expanding the Family
We didn’t stop there…
2019 – Tempe Gets a Taste
We brought Fate to Mill & Southern in Tempe, tapping into a new crowd of craft beer fans.
2023 – Uptown Phoenix Pouring Now
Our newest location opened at 7th St & Camelback, introducing even more Arizonans to the magic of Fate.

Behind every pint of Fate beer is a passion for craft and a commitment to excellence. Our brewhouse is proudly built in Scottsdale, Arizona and designed to support both innovation and consistency. Leading the charge is Head Brewer Adam Schmeichel, a day-one team member whose vision and expertise have shaped our lineup from the start.
Adam can be found in the brewhouse nearly every morning, fine-tuning recipes, developing new flavors, and ensuring each batch lives up to the Fate name.
